Rice DK Raffia Round Bread Basket with Flower Embroidery Pink Small

Handmade round mini basket with a sweet embroidery in the middle – pink with flowers in the middle. The basket has two practical handles. All our products made in Madagascar is handmade, and this little basket is no exception – no two products will ever be the same, which we think is part of the charm. The colors will fade a bit over time and more quickly if they are placed in direct sunlight. Avoid contact with water, as the colors can rub off. This little basket is so beautiful to look at, and it will for sure decorate in any room. Use it for your jewelry, sugar cubes, knick-knacks, or to display a candle holder – only the sky is the limit!

This product is handmade in the amazing natural material, raffia. Raffia fibers come from palm fronds and all RICE raffia products come from Madagascar, which also is the place where the history of RICE began. Our raffia baskets and raffia houses were some of our very first products. The production takes place in two villages in the mountains of Madagascar and supports more than 300 families on the Red Island.

Because raffia is a natural material and the products are handmade, each product can vary in size and this variation is reflected in the coloring as well. This means two products are never quite alike, which we see as part of the charm. If exposed to direct sunlight, the colors will fade over time. The color of the raffia products might rub off if exposed to liquids.
